Statement of the Problem
The impact of outdated infrastructure operations processes, in institutions of higher education, are hindering the acquisition of research funding by faculty and graduate students. This impedes the establishment of a research culture and erodes motivation to pursue external funding. This issue is particularly challenging on HBCU campuses, where faculty have greater levels of responsibility and limited resources. Technological tools and Open Education Resources (OER) are available but are not being fully utilized to improve operations and streamline services for faculty, staff and students.
